When creating a quote, you might need to receive approval from other users (Approvers). The approval process in Salesforce makes this flow simple and automated. Let's see how an Administrator creates an approval process.

For example, we need to have all quotes with a final discount exceeding 25% to be approved by the Manager.

  1. Navigate to Setup

  1. Find the Manage Approval Processes For field, and select Quote. Click Create New Approval Process | Use Jump Start Wizard. The Jump Start Wizard helps you create a simple approval process with basic settings.

  2. Add the Name (Discount > 25%), Entry Criteria (Quote: Final Discount greater than 25), Select Approver (Automatically assign to approver(s) → Choose the approver). Click Save.
