Introduction

Rules allow you to change Quotes and objects related to Quotes (Accounts, Bundles, Features, Quote Line Items) in automatic mode.

Have a look at the schemes below to understand how to configure your pricing rule from the building blocks — conditions and actions — on different levels.

We structured Conditions and Actions by target objects and key components of the Quote

Conditions are the parameters by which objects and/or records will be selected (the pricing rule Actions will be applied only to the records that match the conditions provided).

Here we have two types of Conditions:

  1. Field
  2. Contains.

⚠️Note: You can leave the value field empty and it will be automatically filled with any value. For example, Action with Feature contains any will check that at least one product has been selected within this feature.

Actions are manipulations that will be applied to the Quote or the components of your Quote: bundles, features, quote line items. They are separated into columns that stand for objects that will be modified.

All actions are subdivided into three main types:

  1. Field Editing.
  2. Configuring

Add Product, Remove Product - used for the Quote;

⚠️Note: when using Add Product, you can check additional IF NOT EXIST to make sure that the product that is already in the quote won’t be added.

Show Option, Hide Option, Check option, Uncheck option - used for the Bundle, Feature, and Quote Line Item.
