Getting started with Sculptor
Sculptor CPQ User Manual
In order to help users to configure Sculptor UI without the need to switching between various custom settings and field sets in Set up in v.1.13 we have created “Sculptor Settings” tab where all the configuration settings are united on one page.
The tab is available only for Admin users, who have Sculptor licenses. Here on different tabs we have split all possible configurations:
- Technical Settings
- Enable Record Locking and Unlocking in Apex (checkbox - true/false). This setting is taken from the Process Automation Settings, and must be enabled. It allows Sculptor CPQ to check if record locked via any approval processes.
- Fields and Layouts
- Quote Builder Details. Enabling this setting will show the Description Line under each Quote Line item. The description is taken from the correspondent Product, and can be edited for a particular Quote. Usually useful for complicated Products, when one Product can be presented by different configurations that impact price, etc.
- Product Cost Price Source Field. Selecting a field from a Price book entry object will use it’s value as an expected cost price for a product, while forecasting the margins of your Quotes. You can select any numeric field from the Pricebook Entry object. Just make sure the info is correct in this field.
- Merge same products. Enabling this setting will merge the same Products into the one line if selected and different lines if unselected on Quote builder. It can be useful if you want to provide different cost or discount for the same products and it will be visible on quote for customer.
- Account Fields for Quotes. You can select the fields that will be displayed on the Details Section for your Opportunities and Quotes, taken from the Account of the Quote/Opportunity. If you use any Pricing Rules for Quotes that depend on account’s fields - we recommend to display them there.
- Account Fields For Right Sidebar Groups. In this field set you can select up to 3 fields to define the group level of the right sidebar for opportunities/quotes. The order of the fields in the field sets defines the order of grouping (first field - top level of grouping).
- Opportunity Fields for Quotes. You can select the fields that will be displayed on the Details Section of your Opportunities and Quotes, taken from the Opportunity of the Quote. If you use any Pricing Rules for a Quote, that depend on Opportunity fields - we recommend to display them there
- Opportunity Fields For Right Sidebar Groups. In this field set you can select up to 3 fields to define the group level of the right sidebar for quotes. The order of the fields in the field sets defines the order of grouping (first field - top level of grouping)
- Quote Fields for Quote Details. You can select the fields that will be displayed on the Quote Details Section, taken from the Quote Details.
- Quote Fields for Related Quote List. You can select up to 6 fields that will be displayed on Opportunity manager on Opportunity builder for related Quotes. The order of the fields defines the order of columns in table and can be changed if needed.
- Sidebar Product Groups. You can select up to three fields that will be displayed on the Product Sidebar navigational component of Sculptor Interface to group your Products. By default the Products are grouped by Product Family.
- Sidebar Product Fields. You can select two additional fields that will be displayed on the Product Sidebar navigational component of Sculptor Interface to easier distinguish your Products, in addition to standard fields Product Name and Product Price.
