Create new template
In Salesforce you can create four different types of email templates: text, HTML with Classic Letterhead, custom, and Visualforce. All of these email templates can include text, merge fields, and attached files.
Create your template:
- If you have permission to edit public templates, from Setup, enter and select Classic Email Templates.
- If you don't have permission, Login as Administrator to create a new template
- Click New Template.
- Choose the template type, and click Next.

- Choose a folder in which you will store the template
- To make the template available for use, select the checkbox "Available For Use"
- Enter the name in the Email Template Name field
- If necessary, change the Template Unique Name
- Enter a Description for the template
- Enter a Subject for the message
- Enter the text of the message
- If desired, enter merge fields in the template subject and text body. When you send an email, these fields are replaced with information from your records
- Click Save
All created templates with the "available for use" checkbox will be available in the list when clicking on the Send Quote button.
